Liew Shi Xiong is an adviser at Singapore Buddhist Mission (Youth), where he mentors younger Buddhists and conducts Dharma and film-related classes.
He is also a hobbyist filmmaker, having been formally trained at the NTU Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information. He has made several Buddhist-themed films, the latest of which is a short film featuring Buddhist monks in Singapore during World War II.
Shi Xiong is a public servant in the Prime Minister’s Office.
What is your vision for the future of Buddhism in Singapore?
There will be a strong and united Buddhist community irrespective of the traditions and organisations.
